A high school friend of mine posted on Facebook, in a discussion about the border wall and immigration in general, the assertion that, “we now know… that most people in the country illegally have simply overstayed legal visas of one kind or another.”
My Facebook reply became so long and detailed that I decided to share it on dailydiatribe.net. The crew and I arrived yesterday in Bangalore to the most unusual welcome.
Starting with my first visit in 2011, I’ve been to India six or seven times, each time using the same five-year, multiple-entry, tourist visa I got in 2011. Each time has been as part of the crew of a non-commercial, private flight. (no charter or ticket paying passengers or cargo involved).
